Amanda HoodMountain Brook Schools Director of Student Services
Mrs. Amanda Hood has served as the Director of Student Services for Mountain Brook Schools since 2018. Prior to this role, she served as the principal of Mountain Brook High School from 2013-2018 and Mountain Brook Junior High during 2012-2013. As the assistant principal for curriculum and instruction, Mrs. Hood served at Mountain Brook High School and Spain Park High School. She is a graduate of Troy University, where she double majored in Mathematics and History. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and taught math at Oak Mountain High School. Amanda received her Master’s and Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Montevallo in 2003 and 2010, respectively.

Dale Wisely Ph.D. is Director of Family Life at Prince of Peace Catholic Church & School in Hoover, Alabama, a suburb of Birmingham. Prior to joining Prince of Peace, he was Director of Student Services and Community Education at Mountain Brook Schools (Alabama) for 12 years, where he continues to serve as a consultant. He has been a child and adolescent clinical psychologist for 37 years and has served on multiple boards of directors of organizations that support the needs of families and youth. He is a co-founder of All In Mountain Brook.
Suzan BrandtMountain Brook Schools Director of Technology
Suzan Brandt has recently been named the Technology Director for Mountain Brook Schools. She was previously Technology Coordinator at Mountain Brook Junior High School. She began her career with Hoover City Schools in 1994 and served as an Instructional Technology Specialist from 2000-2009. Suzan has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Auburn University and an M.A. in Special Education from The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she also completed coursework for her Educational Leadership certificate. She earned an Ed.S. in Educational Technology from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Suzan has worked in the area of special education and has taught Language Arts, Math, and Computer Applications.
